Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, was asked at a digital conference in Seoul to define what Web 3.0 meant to Google. As part of his response he deemed Web 2.0 as a marketing term based around AJAX and related technologies and Web 3.0 as “small” applications that are pieced together that can run on any device. He also said that Web 3.0 will be distributed virally…not purchased, bodes well for Social Networking don’t you think?
